A fishing memory for life

You find Laiva in a remote corner difficult to access of the Ammarnäs Mountains – an intimate water in a marvellous wilderness and with a prosperous fishing. Here chances are good to experience a most memorable fishing vacation.
Even though the brown trout of Laiva may be rather cautious its reputation among fly fishermen who have had the pleasure of fishing the lake is highly esteemed. Few waters in the mountain area can offer brown trout of Laiva’s quality.
The character of Laiva, with slow water and pools linked by short rapids, makes the stream a dream water for fly fishers. Laiva is supposed to be kept that way, so fly fishing and catch and release are what counts. He who fish to catch a fish for dinner can make a tour to some fine brown trout- and arctic char-lakes on the bare mountain.
Primarily we though recommend that your fishing ambitions are directed towards the stream. Most fishermen follow that word of advice without complaints. You simply never get enough of the well grown, aggressive and immensely beautiful brown trout of Laiva.
At Laiva it is more than the fishing that is appealing. Here you find the most southern area of permafrost in Sweden together with wading birds, birds of prey and other species of birds.
